I think we can all agree that baskets are rad, but why not take your basket to the next level with a Wizard Works Alakazam Basket Bag? With it?s expanding capacity and super quick attachment to the bike, Alakazam is the best companion for around town errands. Out in the wild, you have an amazingly secure and easy to access bag that puts other bikepacking bags to shame. If you?re a throw and go kinda person, perhaps basketpacking is for you?
Available in three sizes to fit three of our favourite baskets: the Wald 137, the Manivelle Basket or the massive Wald 139. The rolltop design means the Alakazam can hold huge loads, but we know that sometimes you want to carry something a little bit bigger, like a pizza? of four of them! The included ?Pizza Straps? make attaching even the biggest load a breeze. Foam padding on the lower section of the bag provides a little bit of cushion to protect your things. A one-piece floating liner means the Alakazam is the most weatherproof bag we make.

"...I think it's a well executed bag that is equally suited for rides to the grocery store as it is for longer bikepacking trips on gravel roads and doubletrack."

Holy Moses! This bag is the single greatest addition to my bike commuting/grocery getting routine. Full stop. The greatest! The champ is here! Sliced bread pales in comparison!
Re: groceries: I’d say you can fit 9 bottles of wine, or 36 cans of beer, or a nice big watermelon with a bottle of vodka, or probably also some actual food.
Commuting: I easily fit my laptop & charger, change of clothes, usually a couple books, and whatever would normally go in my pockets without even expanding the roll top.
Comfort: If you are like me and suffer from neck/shoulder pain on the bike, ditching the backpack and getting a bag like this will make a genuinely huge difference to your comfort on the bike and post ride as well. I’ve spent hundreds of dollars (that’s American currency, FYI) on bike fits and physical therapy, but I actually believe that this bag has done more to keep me on the bike and out of the car than anything else.
The quality of the bag is immaculate. The customer service wizards are friendly, prompt with replies (even with a 8 hour time difference) and very helpful. I would buy this again, but the one I already own will probably outlive me, it’s so well made.
10/10, five stars, three thumbs up

Perfect for what I wanted.

Perfect bag for both a bikepacking trip and everyday use, it’s super spacious and can carry a lot of stuff but packs down nice and small when empty.

The bags that the Wizard Works team conjure up are of otherworldly construction, bewitching to the eye, and will see daily use from me for years to come. I love my Alakazam 139 Custom, it keeps all of the food and gubbins I could possibly want dry protected, allowing me to ride backpack-free on every occasion. Beer run? Check. Overnighter? Check! Take the Cat for a lakeside picnic? You got it! Buy one, and make your fantasy cyclo-tourist adventures come truuue!
Mine lives on a Surly Ogre with a Nitto x Rivendell Basket rack, works a charm and looks great doing it. Cheers Wizard Works for the top-notch product- keep it up!
